I have been attending this festival and it’s pretty mind blowing. Great content from experts around the world to shed light on some of the unspoken challenges (and relevant solutions) that face the world’s disabled population. Fun and inclusive atmosphere and if you can’t afford a ticket apply for a scholarship on the website. Last day today.
Max Sebastian Stewart Nabarro was born 05:59am on the 8th June 2020 weighing in at 3.15kg in a birthing bath at the spires midwife led unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Ellen had arrived at the hospital around 3 hours before the birth and had a relatively short but tough labour and expertly managed pain through gas and air whilst channelling her natural body instincts and energy to deliver without any tearing. The bravery and fortitude was a privilege to witness, what a woman! Aided in no small part by Mandy, Ellen and baby Max are well and recovering. Max is feeding vigourously and is looking healthy but will stay until he can have a scan of his kidneys, Ellen is tired but happy.
Max was born to the sound of “begin by letting go”, a song by Etherwood.
Thankful that we are living in a beautiful village whilst staying safe during lockdown. Blessed with beautiful weather and an entertaining, enthralling son and a wonderful garden, lots of gardening/zoom rhyme time/outside bathing. Expecting our second from today and can’t wait to meet him (baby Max).
Lovely to hear positive messages from @CindyRose from Microsoft regarding my talk at future decoded event last year. 32 minutes in
Quieter than usual Christmas period after Brother Ollie and family didn’t join us because of the birth of their new child Alessia. Continue to be entertained and enthralled by Ori and his development, he is loving riding around on a metal toy car brought from France by his grandad and partner. He can get all the way to the pub and back. He is also very creative in his new toy kitchen (present from Gosia) and cooks us regular delicacies with precision and skill :-).
Had some great outings to Printworks London, most recently to see Anjunadeep play on the 14 December.
Work continues to be interesting and challenging getting ready for 1.0 stable release of DAOS later in the first quarter of this year.
We are also expecting another baby in June and went for the twenty week scan yesterday, we are not finding out the gender but the wriggler looks gorgeous, as does the mum!
