Kidney stone operation number two

had a couple of attempts to remove kidney stones (5 cm bugger). In the end had to do a PCNL (basically making a hole directly into the kidney and drilling into it and pulling it out) but stone is full of bacteria (not your standard chalk stone) because of paralysis related changes in pH of bladder , lack of movement etc… This release of bacteria into bloodstream causes some concern for septicaemia so had to spend some time in ITU fighting it off. After a couple of rough nights, all is fine now.
